Preview Keys

To connect to a preview instance via an SSH client, you must create preview keys. Use this guide to create and manage Preview Keys.

Note

Preview keys are stored separately from a regular compute instance’s SSH keys.

Create SSH public keys

Caution

Take care not to overwrite any local SSH public keys you may have.

  1. Follow the same process found in Generate an SSH Key to create your Preview Keys for a preview instance.

  2. Click How to create an SSH Key and follow instructions.

  3. Continue.

Add Preview Keys

Note

In the Preview Catalog, adding a public SSH key to launch an instance is optional.

  1. Assure you created an SSH public key on your machine.

  2. Visit the Intel® Tiber™ AI Cloud console home page.

  3. In the console main menu, click the Preview -> Preview Keys.

  4. In the Preview Keys tab:

  5. Click Upload key.

    Note

    You can add multiple keys.

  6. Switch to the Preview Instances tab.

  7. Click Request instance.

  8. Complete all required fields in the form Request a preview instance.

  9. Complete Deployment Details (required).

  10. Click Request.

    Note

    Upon successful completion of the request, you are shown Preview Instances.

Await Request Notification

After requesting an instance, you’ll receive an email in 2-3 business days with request status.

Important

The email response indicates the request status: approved, rejected, or waitlisted.
If your request is pre-approved, your instance may be available immediately.
  1. If your request is approved, log into your account.

  2. From the left side menu, navigate to Preview –> Preview Instances.

  3. View the table in the Preview Instances tab.

  4. Click on your approved instance.

  5. Continue.

Launch instance

  1. Navigate to Preview Instances tab.

  2. Wait until your instance State shows Ready.

  3. Click on the instance name. Then choose a method to access.

    1. Click Connect for One-Click access.

      Note

      This action launches your preview instance in a browser. See also the note regarding operating system.

    2. In Details tab, click on How to Connect via SSH. Follow instructions.

Collaboration and co-development

Co-development is optional. If you want to add another user, get the user’s email address. This instruction assumes that you are the account administrator.

Acceptable email domains include:

  • Users with the same email domain as your company

  • Intel staff with Intel email domain (for co-development and support)

Add Email Domain from your Company

  1. Under Associated Email, add a user with same email domain as your company.

  2. Paste the SSH public key in Key contents.

  3. Click Upload key.

Add Email Domain from Intel

  1. Under Co-development, click the toggles switch.

  2. Under Associated Email, add the Intel staff email address for the person with whom you’re collaborating.

  3. Paste the SSH public key in Key contents.

  4. Click Upload key.
